We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person to join a committed stable team in our Digital pre press division. The successful applicant would have experience with the following pre press software applications. Indesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, Pit stop and standard Pre Press software. You must be able to work unsupervised have keen eye for detail with good time management and organisational skills. You will be trained on the job in our Poster, Pre press setup and Digital press divisions ensuring you a satisfying and varied work day.

Senior Pre-press Mac Operator (March 2011)
Permanent Part Time WAs largest self-adhesive label printing company requires an enthusiastic Mac Operator to join our Western Australian pre-press studio. The Labelmakers Group is an international printing company, with the West Australian branch offering flexographic, letterpress and offset printing processes in the self-adhesive label industry. We pride ourselves on our professional approach and a safe work environment. The position offered is in our busy pre-press studio providing proofing and film preparation. Experience with label production and design will be highly regarded. The successful applicant must have: A minimum of 2 years experience. High level of knowledge in all aspects of prepress. Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop in a Macintosh OS environment. Good communication skills, and problem solving ability. Organization and an eye for detail. Ability to work unsupervised.

Photographic Retoucher
Full or part time position on offer for the right motivated person. Duties include photographic retouching and colour correction to images, editing photo shoots, managing photographic resources and operating a large format Epson printer. Person must be well presented and have a sound knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.

Design/Typesetting/Prepress junior
Print West seek a Design/Typesetting/Prepress junior to handle all artwork and plate requirements.
Applicants should be proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign & Acrobat) and also have some experience with QuarkXpress.
All training is provided but some experience or knowledge of prepress and typesetting would be beneficial.
Tasks and responsibilities include:
- Typesetting and design of a large range of printed materials.
- Co-ordinating client approvals on artwork.
- Imposing jobs for printing.
- Ordering CTP plates from bureau.
- Making Polyester (Itek) plates.
- Making some metal plates
