Graphic Designer / Production Assistant Required
The Top 5 Guide, Perth's Premier Business Directory, is seeking a Graphic Designer / Production Assistant to join their team. Flexible hours at a very attractive hourly rate (from $20/hr) depending on experience. Hours per week are negotiable and will depend on the workload of the art department. For now the hours may vary between 10 and 20 per week, and towards the end of the year it could be as many as 60 hours per week.
Your main duties will include
- Communicating with clients in regards to the production of their adverts.
- Sourcing logos, images and copy text from the clients in order to create the adverts.
- Sourcing appropriate images for adverts from stock photo websites.
- Developing concepts for advertisements and Top 5 marketing materials.
- Creating adverts suitable for publication in Top 5's printed and online directory.
You must be competent in: - Windows and Macintosh environments - The Adobe Creative Suite 3 - Photoshop - Indesign - Illustrator - Acrobat - Acrobat Distiller - Microsoft Office Applications - Print and Web Standards & Requirements
Experience in the following is an advantage Adobe CS3 - Fireworks - Flash - Dreamweaver.

Design/Typesetting/Prepress junior
Print West seek a Design/Typesetting/Prepress junior to handle all artwork and plate requirements.
Applicants should be proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign & Acrobat) and also have some experience with QuarkXpress.
All training is provided but some experience or knowledge of prepress and typesetting would be beneficial.
Tasks and responsibilities include:
- Typesetting and design of a large range of printed materials.
- Co-ordinating client approvals on artwork.
- Imposing jobs for printing.
- Ordering CTP plates from bureau.
- Making Polyester (Itek) plates.
- Making some metal plates
Web Graphic Design Work - from home
